Our client is the market-leading rental provider of excavation support systems and specialist products for the water, civil engineering, and construction industries. They have a job opportunity within the Safety Training team for a utilities orientated Safety Trainer, based from home, to operate across the UK.
You will be required to deliver specialist safety training leading to accredited Energy & Utilities Skills (EUSR) qualifications in the sector. Examples include, but are not limited to, Electro & Butt Fusion Welding, Pressure Testing, SHEA Passport Schemes, Excavation Training, Safe Digging, and Locate Utility Services.
Key Responsibilities
Accredited courses will be delivered at a variety of satellite locations nationally or on-site at our customers’ premises. Consistent assessing and measurement of delegates will be required to meet course objectives.
Furthermore, Safety Trainers will need to be able to be extremely detail oriented in all administrative tasks, which are crucial in this environment. We would also require the Safety Trainer to be up to date and informed regarding awarding bodies and their policies, to include statutory policies, health & safety, employment and equality laws.
What We're Looking For
A recognised training qualification is a prerequisite
Knowledge of the construction Industry/Utilities & Civil sectors
Ability to communicate and deliver presentations, experience of delivering training
Willingness to deliver practical training, outdoors in inclement weather
Experience of writing/producing training sessions or assisting with the writing/production of training sessions
Full driving licence required.
Living in the North of England/Scotland region is essential due to areas covered, this could mean up to 4 days a week working away from home
